Lily Aldridge is one Victoria's Secret model who plans to take her Angel wings and fly high!

Proving she's more than just a pretty face, the 27-year-old recently opened up to Net-a-porter's digital magazine The Edit about her business-savvy plans once she retires her fab Angel wings.

"When my time is up, it's up," the leggy lady said. "But I make sure I mix up jobs and branch out. I want to create an organic beauty line, a fashion line and I'd love to do kidswear."

Not a bad idea, considering the fact that many models increase their staying power with side projects.

Take Aldridge's fellow Angel, Miranda Kerr who can keep busy long after her days of sashaying on the catwalk thanks to her Kora Organics skincare line, or Karlie Kloss, whose non-model related projects have boosted her visibility so much that she claims she has trouble booking runway shows because she's "too famous."

Of course, while she may be interested in prolonging her career long after her Victoria's Secret days are over, Aldridge recognizes that she will forever be indebted to the lingerie brand.

"I've done Victoria's Secret [so] I have a name and I can launch myself in a bigger way," she said.

And that's not the only reason she loves the company that helped skyrocket her career.

"It's a huge part of American culture," she said. "The Angels, to me, are strong, iconic women that I have grown up watching. Becoming an Angel was a huge achievement, the turning point in my career. It's made me a household name—very few models get that chance anymore."

Aldridge is just as passionate about the man in her life, hubby Caleb Followill.

"We're so compatible; he's the coolest guy I've ever met, and my best friend," she says of the Kings of Leon frontman and father to her child Dixie.

But she wasn't always so willing to gush over Followill.

"I knew he liked me, so I played it cool," she admitted about the early stages of her relationship with Followill. "I never exchanged numbers as I just knew we were going to see each other again."

And if Aldridge's instincts are just as shrewd in the world of business are they are in the world of love, we're pretty sure we'll see debut fashion line from her in the future!
