Glee: Monteith rose to fame when he landed the role of McKinley High School's loveable quarterback turned glee club singer Finn in 2009 on Fox's musical dramedy. He had an on-again, off-again relationship with Rachel on the show, played by his real-life girlfriend Lea Michele.

Kyle XY: Back in 2006, Monteith played Charlie Tanner, the boyfriend (and then ex-boyfriend) of Amanda Bloom (Kirsten Prout) on the ABC Family show.

Monte Carlo: He played Owen in the 2011 romantic comedy, who flew to Monte Carlo from Texas to win back the heart of his lady love, played by Katie Cassidy.

Kaya: He started showing off his musical talents as Gunnar on the MTV show in 2007, playing a drummer from a band called Crossing Coldwater. The star of the show, Kaya (Danielle Savre), was the lead singer of the group.

Sisters and Brothers: Monteith played Hollywood star Justin in the 2011 indie drama, which explored the relationships of two sets of siblings who hadn't been in touch for quite some time.

In addition to his past roles, Monteith had a couple of projects set to be released, including dramedy All the Wrong Reasons and crime drama McCanick
