Cindy Crawford often tweets old school pictures, but last night she shared a real Throwback Thrusday gem.

The supermodel posted a black and white photo of her posing poolside in a striped bikini. The big deal? The photo—which appeared on the front page of her hometown paper, the DeKalb Nite Weekly in November of 1982—was the brunette beauty's first-ever cover.

"My very first cover during high school in DeKalb, shot in my high school boyfriend's backyard," the 47-year-old captioned the pic. Adding: "Believe me when I say I had absolutely no idea where that photo would lead to!"

Turns out that one image launched an iconic career in which the supermodel landed countless other covers such as Vogue, Rolling Stone, Elle, Playboy and became one of the most recognizable faces in the world.

So yeah, despite how stunning she looks in the vintage picture, we believe you, Cindy.  After all, who could have predicted that?
