Jennifer Lawrence Wows in White During Catching Fire Party Before Almost Actually Catching Fire

Jennifer Lawrence rocked the red black carpet.

The actress stunned last night at The Hunger Games: Catching Fire party during the Cannes Film Festival, when she slipped into this gorgeous, white strapless Christian Dior dress with a printed detail on the side, which was accentuated by her bright fuchsia Manolo Blahnik pointed stilettos.

Lawrence was also joined on the carpet by her costars Liam Hemsworth and Sam Claflin, and director Francis Lawrence.

While partying in the VIP section Saturday night, J.Law almost actually became the Girl on Fire. No, seriously.

An 8-foot column with a platter of candles reportedly fell on top of her and Hemsworth, but luckily no one caught on fire (no pun intended—OK, maybe a little), and the duo seemed to laugh it off.

Clearly, they've experienced worse scenarios.
