Mischa Barton "Definitely Not Engaged," Despite Sporting Ring on That Finger

Actress' rep says she simply likes jewelry (and who can blame her?)

Hold your horses if you think Mischa Barton is getting set to walk down the aisle.

The former OC star has been spotted out and about recently sporting some bling on her ring finger, but no, it's not an engagement ring from her beau Sebastian Knapp.

"She is definitely not engaged," Barton's rep tells E! News. "The ring was just for costume and flair."

Barton, 27, hit the Coachella music festival over the weekend, dressed in a black-and-white printed dress, which she accessorized with a gold ring on her left hand. She was also recently spotted hitting a Beverly Hills salon sporting a band on the same finger.

This isn't the first time Barton's jewelry choices have sparked engagement reports.

Back in September of last year, Barton stepped out in Dublin sporting a blingy ring which turned out to be part of her costume for the stage production of Steel Magnolia's she was in at the time.

Guess we'll just have to keep waiting for those wedding bells.
