And the revenge of the nerds continues!

Not only are the original episodes of The Big Bang Theory beating onetime ratings juggernaut American Idol on Thursday nights, but repeats of the CBS hit sitcom are also topping the Fox reality series!

Idol's top five results show, which saw the ousting of Janelle Arthur, attracted 11.9 million viewers and a 2.9 rating in the adults 18-49 demo. Pretty solid numbers, right? They are...until you see the numbers two repeats of The Big Bang Theory pulled in!

The comedy, which stars Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco, garnered 11.2 million viewers and a 3.0 rating at 8 p.m., while the 9 p.m. repeat episode brought in 10.8 million viewers and a 3.2 rating in the all-important demo. (During their shared half-hour time slot from 8-8:30 p.m., Big Bang beat Idol in total viewers, 11.2 million vs. 11 million.)

So is Idol fatigue sweeping the nation or do viewers really just love to laugh? The mind reels!

After experiencing an uptick with its polarizing school-violence episode last week, Glee experienced a small four-percent drop, bringing in 6.4 million viewers. Elsewhere, NBC's new drama Hannibal's third episode attracted 3.5 million viewers, down 20 percent from last week, while The CW's top performer The Vampire Diaries hit a series-low in the 18-49 demo (0.9) with its prom episode, which drew in 1.9 million viewers. Maybe not a prom night to remember?
