Designer unveils luxury accessory collection

On a mission to find a chic new handbag this spring? We'd recommend holding out for next month to get your hands on one of Missoni's brand new purses.

That's right, the renowned fashion house is launching its first-ever handbag collection in mere weeks, and from the sneak peek we spied on Style.com, we definitely like what we see!

The collection, designed by 30-year-old Margheria Missoni, isn't what you'd expect either—instead of vibrant zigzag patterns and cozy knits, you'll find sumptuous high-quality Italian-made classic staples with faint details that echo the iconic look and feel of the brand. 

"The most recognizable, iconic elements of Missoni are colors and knitwear," Ms. Missoni told Style.com. "But those are not elements that could make a consistent handbag collection, and we wanted to create bags that would be able to stand on their own."

And given that the gorgeous pre-fall collection features luxe suede satchels, leather totes and more punched up with fancy hardware details, we don't think she'll have any trouble finding an eager market who appreciates her vision. 

The collection ranges from $1,760 to $5,890 and hits shelves mid-May.
