The three finalists still in the running to win The X Factor next week have been revealed.
A night after Fifth Harmony reminded voters not to count them out just yet, Tate Stevens rocked the house and Emblem3 sang Paul McCartney just a little bit better than Carly Rose Sonenclar sang John Lennon, there were no guarantees left.
Except that, no matter which way the chips fell, a group was assured a spot in the finale for the first time. So, where did the chips fall?
As they sang last night, anything can happen.
Fifth Harmony was the first act sent through to the finals—and we've never seen Simon Cowell so happy!
For the record, we've also never seen such a strange look on Britney Spears' face, like she couldn't understand why everyone around her was on their feet applauding. Or maybe she was just appalled that Carly Rose's name wasn't called first.
"Like I said," Simon reiterated when asked for his reaction, "I believe in miracles and these girls—I thought they were sensational last night. I could not be happier."
Meanwhile, the show isn't over for L.A. Reid just yet. Coming on the heels of his announcement that he won't be returning to The X Factor next season, the record exec's remaining mentee, country singer Tate Stevens, was next to be ushered into the top three.
"We're here," Tate said, his voice cracking, when asked if he had anything to say to his wife.
And, in the end, Britney had no reason to look so angry at life.
Carly Rose also made the finale, leaving Emblem3 just on the edge of glory and Simon with only one horse in the final race.
"I don't even know what to say," the 13-year-old wunderkind said. "Thank you so much for voting and, Emblem3, I know that you're going to go so far and I can't wait to buy your album."
Is this your personal top 3 or do you think Emblem3 were robbed? Sound off in the comments!
