It's a good day to be an X-Men fan!
Director Bryan Singer has announced via Twitter that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are set to reprise their roles as Professor X and Magneto in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past.
And if that alone wasn't enough, Singer, who directed X-Men and X2, went on to share with his followers that several of the stars from the most recent flick in the franchise, X-Men: First Class, would also be returning.
"I'd like to officially welcome back James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, & Nicholas Hoult to #XMEN for#DaysOfFuturePast," Singer tweeted on Tuesday.
Of course, both McAvoy and Fassbender played younger versions of Professor X and Magneto in First Class, so the involvement of Stewart and McKellen this time around should make for an exciting new storyline.
Filming on X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to begin early next year.
