Michelle Obama's Election Night Michael Kors Dress Is Having a Moment

Voters have chosen Barack Obama to serve as president for four more years, but it was a threepeat fashion victory for Michelle Obama during last night's election celebration in Chicago.

The FLOTUS joined the president onstage in a Michael Kors magenta silk chine pintucked dress that she's worn twice before.

For his part, Kors says his dress fit the first lady's signature style perfectly.

Trend alert: leather leggings

"Mrs. Obama looked chic and elegant as always on election night," Kors tells the Huffington Post. "My dress, with its strong color, clean lines and feminine silhouette, has all the elements that have become a part of the trademark style of our first lady."

Part of that trademark style includes her ability to accessorize with ease. And with the season of campaign buttons wrapping up, Obama chose to pair her Kors dress with a feminine House of Lavande vintage pink brooch and a black shrug.

It was a look very similar to the way she styled her Kors dress—almost exactly two years ago on Nov. 16, 2010—when her husband presented Army Staff Sergeant Salvatore Giunta with the Medal of Honor. The fashionable first lady reached for another black cardigan and brooch, this time choosing an Alexis Bittar flower pin.

The year before that, she ditched the cardigan for a White House holiday party in 2009. A chic updo and a decision to flaunt her famously toned arms took her versatile Kors dress from day to night.

This isn't the first time the fashionable FLOTUS has recycled items from her wardrobe, either. Just last month, she wore a gray Thom Browne dress with lace overlay to a presidential debate that she'd also worn to the Democratic National Convention in September.

Now, we're huge fans of Obama's tendency to repeat looks, and it makes us feel less guilty about posting Facebook pics rocking the same outfit on different occasions.

But we want to know what you think. Is it a fabulous move or a fashion faux pax?
