And that's good news for Katie Couric! Hew new talk show Katie, which premiered yesterday, was the highest daytime talk show opener since Dr. Phil started in September 2002.
Katie's audience beat out the other daytime talk shows that have premiered recently, including those from Steve Harvey, Jeff Probst and Ricki Lake. She even dominated Anderson Cooper Live's second-season premier.
Other people set to appear on Katie in the upcoming weeks include Jennifer Lopez, Barbra Streisand, 50 Shades of Grey author E.L. James, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, Chelsea Handler, Demi Lovato, Susan Sarandon, Wendy Williams, Aimee Copeland (survivor of a rare flesh-eating bacteria) and Amanda Knox's former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito.
