    Tony Scott is going home.

The director of Top Gun, Crimson Tide and Unstoppable has been cremated and his widow, Donna Wilson, will keep his ashes at the Los Angeles house they shared, according to Scott's death certificate, obtained Monday by E! News.

The certificate lists their home address as the "place of final disposition."

Not surprisingly, the cause of his Aug. 19 death was deferred for the time being. It could be at least several more weeks before the coroner gets toxicology and other test results back.

Meanwhile, officials have said that they are treating the case as a suicide, considering Scott jumped to his death from an L.A.-area bridge.

Wilson, with whom Scott had young twin sons, told investigators that reports of her husband having inoperable brain cancer were untrue and the autopsy performed Aug. 20 found no visible signs of cancer in the region. The content of his suicide note, left behind in his production office, has not been released.

Family members, including older brother Ridley Scott, gathered for a private funeral Friday in Hollywood. The family has said that it will start planning another gathering to celebrate Scott's life and work after Labor Day.

Meanwhile, the American Film Institute announced today that the Scott family has created a memorial scholarship to help aspiring filmmakers and is asking that donations be made to the fund in lieu of flowers.
