Jennifer Hudson Performs Pitch-Perfect Whitney Houston Tribute at Grammys
Where do broken hearts go, indeed.
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards had already started off in singular fashion, with LL Cool J offering up a prayer for the late, beyond-great Whitney Houston following Bruce Springsteen's show-opening performance.
But the most wrenching, yet paradoxically uplifting, moment of the night belonged to Jennifer Hudson, who overnight was tasked with presiding over the musical tribute to Houston, who died just yesterday afternoon.
Whitney Houston's Top Five Songs (and Yes, It Was Hard to Pick Only Five)
Whitney Houston's untimely death shocked and saddened Hollywood's elite at Clive Davis' annual Grammy party Saturday, but her songs will always bring joy to our hearts.
While Jennifer Hudson, and Glee's Matthew Morrison and Amber Riley are awarding the late legend tributes of their own, E! Online is taking a moment to look back on Whitney's five ultimate classic hits.
RIP Don Cornelius: Five Mega-Stars Who Rode the Soul Train
When Don Cornelius promised the "hottest jams and stars in the world," he wasn't messing around.
The creator and longtime face of Soul Train may be gone, but he made a lasting impact on pop culture with his R&B-championing song-and-dance show and subsequent Soul Train Music Awards.
Over the show's 35 years on the air, some of the biggest names in music hit the stage that Cornelius built, from Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin to R. Kelly and T.I.. It's pretty much impossible to narrow it down, but here are five other acts who boarded the train early in their careers—and rode it right to superstardom:
Christina Aguilera, Stevie Wonder Sing Tributes at Legend Etta James' Funeral
Christina Aguilera paid her respects to the late blues, jazz and rock legend Etta James at her funeral Saturday at Greater Bethany Community Church in Gardena, Calif., belting out her rendition of the singer's classic tune "At Last."
Justin Bieber Watches as Michael Jackson's Kids Cement His Legacy
Michael Jackson the man wasn't invincible. But his legacy is now solid as a rock.
The late pop icon's children imprinted some of their father's most famous accessories—his sparkly glove and shiny black shoes—in the cement in the forecourt of Grauman's Chinese Theatre today on Hollywood Boulevard.
Mom Katherine Jackson, Smokey Robinson, Chris Tucker and Justin Bieber were in attendance at the ceremony, which also featured a performance by the cast of Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour.
Five Memorable Etta James Songs—Besides "At Last"
Etta James was no one-note talent, by any means.
"At Last" may have been the ubiquitous hit, the go-to number for momentous occasions, commericals, movie soundtracks and wannabe pop stars on TV singing competitions.
But the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who died today at the age of 73, had an arsenal full of slow-dance worthy tunes, some songs tailor-made for when you're in love and others that make perfect accompaniments for a good cry.
Here are five of them:
VH1 Divas Celebrate Soul Pays Tribute to Amy Winehouse
Some of music's greatest female singers took the stage tonight on VH1 Divas Celebrate Soul in New York City.
And while enjoying the sounds of Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan, Mavis Staples, along with those they inspired like Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Jill Scott (who all sang in honor of various cities that founded soul music), we also got to remember one musical songbird that left us way too soon.
R.I.P. Patrice O'Neal: Ricky Gervais, Dane Cook and More Offer Twitter Tributes to "Brilliant" Comedian
If you like to laugh, you're going to miss Patrice O'Neal. And his fellow comedians may miss him even more.
"One of my favourite stand up comedians. So sad. RIP," Ricky Gervais tweeted Tuesday upon hearing of O'Neal's death at 41 due to complications of a stroke.
"Brilliant, unafraid, unapologetic. You inspired me and kept us all honest #RIPPatrice," wrote comedian Amy Schumer, who shared the dais with O'Neal at the Charlie Sheen roast in September.
Added Sarah Silverman: "RIP Patrice O'Neal. You made us laugh til we cried."
And the tributes kept pouring in from those who are far more used to punchlines...
Weekend Wrap-Up: Twilight's Nikki Reed Weds, Star Trek's Zachary Quinto Comes Out
Oh, the joys of the weekend.

We've got all the deets on Clinton's three-day party, Nikki Reed's nuptials, Robert Downey Jr.'s attempt to champion Mel Gibson's career and more, right here.
• Here Comes the Bride: Twilight star Nikki Reed wed American Idol alum Paul McDonald Sunday at a private ceremony in Malibu.
Arnold Schwarzenegger Bronzed for Posterity
Mr. Olympia will forever be immortalized in Austria.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was in his hometown of Thal Friday for the opening of a museum dedicated to his legacy, located in his former house.
You can't miss it: It's the one with the towering bronze statue of an überbuff Schwarzenegger, clad in swim trunks and flexing as he did in his championship bodybuilding days.
So, aside from the one-of-a-kind statue (presuming Ahnuld doesn't have one or two just like it at home in L.A.), what else can fans see at the new tourist attraction?
