Just five days after Tony Scott leaped from a San Pedro, Calif. bridge to his death, the Top Gun director has been laid to rest.
The filmmaker's private, family-only funeral was held at a cemetery in Los Angeles Friday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Scott's older brother, Ridley, was among the family members in attendance, according to TMZ.
Meanwhile, the motive behind Scott's Aug. 19 suicide still remains a mystery.
Scott left a suicide note and several notes to loved ones before he jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge, but none of them revealed what drove him to take his own life or mentioned health problems, law enforcement officials told the Los Angeles Times.
And Scott's reason for committing suicide might not ever come to light.
Law-enforcement officials told the paper authorities may not be able to "make a clear determination of motive" for Scott's suicide.
A private memorial service will be held for the filmmaker Saturday, the Times reports.
