Sure, winning a gold medal might make one feel like royalty. But how about actually meeting a royal on top of that?

Well, for some of the squad of the U.S. women's gymnastics team, they got to do just that.

While cheering on fellow Fab Five member McKayla Maroney as she went on to nab the silver medal during the vault finals on Sunday, Gabby Douglas, Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman and Kyla Ross were approached by none other than Kate Middleton, who also happened to be there to take in all the action.

"Just met princess Kate with @jordyn_wieber @kyla_ross96 & @gabrielledoug she is so beautiful & so nice!" Raisman tweeted following the encounter. "I loved her style."

Wieber, too, couldn't contain her excitement after interacting with the Duchess of Cambridge.

"Can't believe I just met Princess Kate Middleton!" she tweeted. "She was in the crowd at the competition and she stood up to talk to us! #honored."

Honored, and very lucky, indeed.
