Imagine this: John McCain campaigning across America with Heidi Montag!

It's a possibility. At least Montag thinks so.

A day after lunching in L.A. with the presidential hopeful's daughter, Meghan, the publicity-hoggin' reality star said she's hoping to hit the road to do some GOP stumpin'.

"We'll see," Montag said at last night's Orange Pass shopping benefit for the Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis at L.A.'s Lambertson Truex boutique. "We're just so busy, so we're trying to figure out our schedules."

Now, back to that lunch with Meghan...

Montag says the two have become "good friends" since first meeting less than three months ago at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, D.C.

So what did they talk about while breaking bread, world peace?

OK, maybe not.

"A lot of fashion, actually," says Montag. "We talked about my clothing line, and she was asking where to get it."

Meanwhile, Spencer Pratt offered good wishes to his on-again/off-again pal Brody Jenner on his search for another best buddy in the upcoming MTV reality show Bromance.

"I hope he finds that true bro," says Pratt.

Just don't expect him to be a Republican. Jenner has already said he's backing Barack Obama.
