Daryl Hannah does not mess around when it comes to saving the planet.

The eco-friendly Kill Bill star was even arrested two months ago at the White House for protesting a plan to create a new oil pipeline.

But getting cuffed isn't keeping Daryl from speakin' out about going green...

"It's just time for us to move to a clean, regenerative energy economy," the actress recently told us. "The economy is suffering, the environment is suffering—we're facing a crisis on so many levels."

So what's Hannah's No. 1 green tip?

"It is possible to get off oil," she said. "I mean, any car...any fuel-injected car can run on alcohol fuel and any diesel can run waste-free. So, you know, as long as it's provided sustainably, it's better than being on petroleum."
