It's that time of year, again: time for the A-list among us to spend all night cleaning the green slime out of their hair.
The nominations are out for Nickelodeon's 2011 Kids' Choice Awards, and it's not just the honorees who sound a bit familiar—host Jack Black has been tapped to emcee his third consecutive awards show.
So, which TV, movie, sports and music stars are in line for the big slime? Well, the envelope (by which me mean orange blimp statuette) could very well go to…
MORE: Bieber plays matchmaker?!
Anyone, really. If there's one thing the Kids' Choice Awards aren't is stingy with the accolades. So let's break this down. But brace yourselves: we could be in line for a Justin Bieber-Selena Gomez red carpet appearance. Those two maybe-lovebirds are both on the receiving end of multiple nominations. As for the rest:
On the TV side, it's brothers versus brothers, as the Favorite TV Actor category is comprised of the Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Cole Sprouse and Dylan Sprouse. As for TV Actress, clearly the kids aren't too upset by Miley Cyrus' recent fall from grace, as the Hannah Montana star is once again nominated along with Miranda Cosgrove, Selena Gomez and Victoria Justice.
The movie categories, however, are where the real heavy-hitters come in. Up for Favorite Movie are Alice in Wonderland, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, and The Karate Kid.
Host Jack will pull double duty, as Gulliver's Travels also earned him a Favorite Movie Actor nod. Competing alongside him will be Alice's Johnny Depp, Tooth Fairy's Dwayne (née The Rock) Johnson, and nepotastic newcomer Jaden Smith, for his work in The Karate Kid.
Cyrus is also doubling her pleasure with a Favorite Movie Actress nod, for The Last Song, where she'll vie against Tooth Fairy's Ashley Judd, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1's Emma Watson and (dun, dun, dun!) The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's Kristen Stewart. And if the franchise is as big a hit with kids as it was when it was the teens' turn to choose, we think we see where this category's going.
Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr.., Steve Carell, Tom Hanks, Cameron Diaz and Will Ferrell all round out the big screen contenders.
As for music, well, it's Justin Bieber's world, we're just living in it. The Biebs is up for Favorite Male Singer (where he'll compete against Bruno Mars, Jay-Z and his mentor Usher), and "Baby" is up for Favorite Song. In the latter category, he's up against Katy Perry's summer anthem "California Girls," Train's unavoidable "Hey, Soul Sister" and Taylor Swift 's "Mine."
Swift and Perry, incidentally, are also up for Favorite Female Singer, a prize they'll do their best to win from Selena Gomez and (triple threat alert!) good old Miley.
The awards will be handed out April 2 in Los Angeles. Here's the complete list of nominees.
