Iron Man director Jon Favreau is bringing out the big guns for next summer's Cowboys & Aliens: James Bond, Han Solo and the lady from House.
Or rather, Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde.
And from what we see in the first trailer for the western/sci-fi extravaganza, we can totally identify with what Craig's going through here. To a point:
Things start off with him waking up, dirty and dazed, in the middle of the desert with no memory of how he got there and a strange bracelet around his wrist. (Been there, done that!)
But he quickly ups the badass and leaves us, and all comers, in the dust. He makes his way to the town of Absolution, Arizona (Metaphor! Foreshadowing!), only to find out he's Public Enemy No. 1 and tough-as-nails lawman Harrison Ford, with his awesome grumbly voice, can't wait to get his hands on him.
Things get complicated, though, when it becomes clear that the bracelet is somehow key to fending off some invading aliens.
With that A-list cast and people like Ron Howard and Steven Spielberg working behind the scenes as producers, Cowboys looks like it has all the necessary ingredients to be a contender in the 2011 summer blockbuster race.
