We doubt this is on Jack Nicholson's bucket list.

The Lakers' No. 1 celeb fan has been offered up by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa as fodder in the traditional bet between cities playing in the NBA Finals, with the mayor "generously permitting" Nicholson to don Boston Celtics green for a commercial touting the wonders of Bean Town, should the Lakers lose.

But for what he wants in return, it would almost be worth it to have the Lakers throw in the towel in six...

"Should the Lakers prevail," reads Villaraigosa's proposition, obtained by the L.A. Times, "we will gladly accept your hometown boys, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, as spokespersons for a public service announcement extolling the virtues of the City of Los Angeles, where the climate, the beaches, and the food are far superior.

"How'd you like them apples?"

First of all, nice Good Will Hunting reference. And second, wouldn't Damon and Affleck look lovely in purple and gold?

Boston Mayor Thomas Menino has yet to respond or issue a counteroffer, but we're thinking that this tradeoff is as good as it gets.
