Gaby Sidibe: Does She Really Want to Bring Justin Timberlake to the Oscars?

First-time Oscar-nominee talks about wanting some J.T. arm candy for the big show

Reports of Gabourey Sidibe wanting Justin Timberlake as her Oscar dream date have been greatly exaggerated.

"I was kidding about that," the Precious star told me Friday at the Film Independent Spirit Awards about some past public comments she's made about trying to get J.T. on her arm tonight. "It was just a joke."

So who would she really love to bring with her?

"I don't know who my dream date is," Sidibe said. "I don't think I have one."

For the record, Sidibe is bringing her mom.

And get this—the first-time nominee insists she's all cool and collected about the big show."I'm not nervous at all," she said. "The show will happen whether or not I'm nervous."

From her excited walk to the stage and her Spirit Award acceptance speech, we think Ms. Sidibe is going to be just fine. She's got nothing to be nervous about.
