Did Leo DiCaprio Miss the Inception Oscar Train?

James Franco sawing off his arm in 127 Hours may have cut the Oscar hopes of his fellow heartthrobs in half.

The 32-year-old renaissance man is a 9-to-2 favorite to win the Academy Award for Best Actor in a few months, behind only 3-1 Jesse Eisenberg, presuming The Social Network looks as good to the Academy after the buzz has died down, and 6-5 Brit Colin Firth, who's getting raves for his role as stuttering monarch George VI in The King's Speech, currently a 2-1 fave to be named Best Picture, as well.

Also in the mix is Cristopher Nolan's magnum mind-bender Inception, a 6-1 shot for Best Picture, according to oddsmaker Bodog.com. But a win for star Leonardo DiCaprio, a three-time Oscar nominee, may be only a pipe dream.

Crazy Heart Clip So "Bad" It's Good

His Dudeness Jeff Bridges totally rocked the role of Bad Blake, the invariably high and highly talented country singer-songwriter anti-hero of Crazy Heart. Not to mention that Bridges totally rolled through the Academy Awards as well by snagging the Best Actor Oscar.

His performance alone is worth the price of the DVD or Blu-Ray disc (to be released Tuesday, April 20). But there's so much more, including deleted scenes like the one above, in which Bad lives down to his name with a sloshed barfly (Annie Corley).

Hey, he's got a beverage over here!

________

Everybody who's anybody voted for Jeff Bridges for Best Actor, including another guy up for the award by the name of Clooney.

Here's Yet Another Reason to Love George Clooney

Given all the big news these days, it's easy to forget that not all men are dogs.

That's why there's George Clooney.

We know we don't really need to give you another reason to love him (Haiti telethon, anyone?), but this little story is such a knee-knocker, we wanted to make sure it got your Friday off on the right foot.

You see, the Up in the Air hunk was nominated for Best Actor at the Academy Awards just a few weeks ago, but he didn't vote for himself. Instead, he voted for the guy who eventually went on to take home the statuette, Jeff Bridges.

Not only that, George took a photo of his ballot and sent it to the Crazy Heart star.

George's rep, Stan Rosenfield, confirmed the tale to the New York Post, adding, "According to George, 'It was an amazing performance.' He also told Jeff, 'If you don't win, you can't blame me.'"

Seriously, someone hand us a fan!

Is it just us, or have far too many of these Week in Reviews lately been recounting tragic deaths of pretty young people we didn't know personally, but who nevertheless left a lasting impression on our young minds back in the 1980s?

This week, after the Oscars swept us away to a glamorous, Clooney-ruled world of red carpets, gorgeous gowns and a hilarious Hitler joke directed at Meryl Streep, we sadly paid tribute to one of the original Tiger Beat studs, Corey Haim...

Tatum O'Neal "Deeply Saddened" That Oscar Failed to Recognize Farrah

More from 2010_oscars

Ryan isn't the only O'Neal terribly disappointed by the absence of Farrah Fawcett in the tribute montage to filmdom's fallen stars that was shown during the 82nd Annual Academy Awards.

"On behalf of myself, my father, Ryan O'Neal, and my entire family, we are deeply saddened that a truly beautiful and talented actress, Farrah Fawcett, was not included in the memorial montage," Tatum O'Neal said in a statement Tuesday.

"We are bereft with this exclusion of such an international icon who inspired so many for so many reasons. Beautiful, talented Farrah will never be forgotten by her family and amazing fans."

Indeed she will not, though the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has already excused itself from being the one responsible for carrying Fawcett's memory into 2010—a decision that has riled friends, family and the outspoken likes of Jane Fonda and Roger Ebert.

Although Tatum wasn't Fawcett's biggest fan while the Charlie's Angels star was dating her dad in the 1980s, in more recent years the pair had reconciled, and Ryan's daughter was in attendance at Fawcett's funeral following her death from cancer last year.

Why didn't Oscar get away with its Farrah Fawcett snub? Why did Jason Mesnick get away with his Melissa Rycroft snub? And why is NBC getting away with its Conan O'Brien snub?

The answers—and more questions about Miley Cyrus, The Office and more—in the latest TV ratings quiz:

1. How did Oscar pay for leaving Fawcett out of its "In Memoriam" rundown? The telecast's prime-time viewership bottomed out in the 10:30 p.m. (ET) half-hour that featured the Fawcett-less tribute package.

More from The Awful Truth

She may have lost to Sandy Bullock at Sunday's Oscars ceremony—tho we all knew that was going to happen—but Precious star Gabourey Sidibe didn't go home empty-handed this weekend.

On Friday night, Gabby nabbed the Best Female Lead trophy at the Spirit Awards (think the Oscars, but for the indie circuit) and she was more than happy to chat with us about her win and her big post-Oscar weekend plans. And it involves a man. Or should we say men?

But first, what did the über-talented, buxom babe think when she heard her name called at the Spirits?

Best Oscar Drama? Interrupted Prudence Director Defends His Mom, Finishes His Speech

More from 2010_oscars

The Oscar for Best Documentary Short Subject has been long on drama.

In what was a classic example of acceptance speech thunder-stealing, aka "a Kanye," producer Elinor Burkett jumped onstage to say more than a few words while director Roger Ross Williams was accepting the Academy Award for Music by Prudence, breaking ceremony protocol and kinda making a jerk of herself in the process.

Burkett later said that Williams' elderly mother used her cane to block her passage to the stage.

Risky business, going after a man's mama like that...

Sandra Bullock Verbally Drools All Over Ryan, Not Jesse

Ryan Reynolds, Sandra Bullock, The Proposal Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures
More from The Awful Truth

Backstage at the Oscars last night, Best Actress winner Sandra Bullock, sheathed in metallic silver, trembled a little—and it wasn't out of nervousness over having just won the top award for her performance in The Blind Side. Nope, it was a man who was making her smile and quiver and shake a bit—a man by the name of Ryan Reynolds!

I'd just asked Bullock, who mentioned (numerous times) during her acceptance speech about having kissed Meryl Streep at the Critics' Choice Awards ceremony, why all the talk about that one? I mean, especially after she'd filmed that hot nude scene with Reynolds in The Proposal, this is the kind of titillating thing that gets all the headlines? Why that?

Looking me directly in the eye, here's what Sandra had to say:
