Lindsay Lohan could be jumping onto Lady Gaga's disco stick.

Über-producer Rodney Jerkins says he'd like the two young ladies to hit the recording studio together.

"I can pair them up," says Jerkins, whose most recent collaboration was on Gaga's "Telephone" featuring Beyoncé. "I would love it. I would love to see what could happen."

With or without the "Poker Face" hitmaker, Jerkins seriously believes that Lohan can be the next big thing in pop music…

"If she stays focused, I think she has what it takes," Jerkins told reporters this weekend at the Clive Davis/Recording Academy pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. "I've talked to her, and I said, 'You've got what it takes. I really believe in you.' "

Not that Linds has asked for our advice, but she really should get in touch with Jerkins…now!

"I've seen a lot of people questioning actresses who have wanted to become pop stars, and they don't have it," Jerkins said. "I believe she has it, something deep down. I've listened to her in the past, and I think there's something there. It just needs to be pulled out."

Jerkins wasn't as chatty when it came to discussing the "Telephone" video that Lady Gaga and Beyoncé recently shot with director Jonas Akerlund. "All I'm going to say," he said, "is that [the video] comes from a classic film."

Yeah, we can't wait either.
