Time honestly flies when you're a mom—just ask Jessica Alba.
The Fantastic Four actress couldn't help but to marvel at how her and husband Cash Warren's two oldest kids—daughters Honor, 15, and Haven, 12—are already in their teen years when she watched them head back to school on Aug 29. Alongside photos of her daughters posing on the front porch for their first day of classes, Jessica wrote on Instagram, "10th and 7th -where did the time go… (sigh)."
"My baby girls first day of school," she added, completing her post with the hashtags, "Mom is the best life" and "summer is officially over."
And it certainly has been an eventful summer break for the mom of three, who also shares 5-year-old son Hayes with Cash. In June, Jessica and Honor traveled to Paris to catch the 2023 French Open, before heading to London with Haven and Hayes the following month for Wimbledon.
And in addition to taking in a whole lot of tennis, Jessica and Cash, who tied the knot in 2008, enjoyed an enchanting outing with their kids at Taylor Swift's sold-out concert at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles earlier this month. "What a show!" the Honest Company co-founder captioned snapshots of the family standing in the audience. "#ErasTour."
But parenting teens hasn't always been vacations and concerts for Jessica. After all, the 42-year-old previously shared that it took family therapy to help her establish a healthy dynamic with her daughters.
"I went with both of them. And around puberty is when it's the time I think, for me, with my girls," she told People in 2021. "That's when they started to sort of shut down and get really like, 'I don't want to talk any more.' And I'm like, 'We're not doing this. We've got to keep a line of communication here. How can I be a better parent to you? How do you want me to talk to you? Don't shut me out.'"
According to the Dark Angel alum, therapy also helped her accept that her kids are growing up into their own people. "I want to treat them all like babies," she said. "I felt like my relationship really suffered with my parents because they didn't know how to communicate with me and how I needed to be parented. So, I didn't want that breakdown with Honor so we went to therapy together."

The Saved by the Bell alum sent daughter Gia, 13, and Dominic, 10, back to school in the middle of the week—and the start date left him scratching his head. "Evidently starting school on a Monday is too mainstream," joked Mario, who also shares 4-year-old son Santino with wife Courtney Lopez. "We bout that midweek life out here in Catholic school!"
"‘Twas the first day of school...for both my babies this time together!" Brittany—who shares son Golden "Saigon," 6, and daughter Powerful Queen, 2, with Nick—wrote on Instagram. "And in good focused mom fashion I was too busy to worry about posting on time and all that hoopla. Yeah I said hoopla. just get it done mamas."
The singer and the retired NFL player sent their oldest child off to school in August, with Jessie—who is also mom to son Forrest, 5, and Eric "Bubby" Jr., 8, and is currently pregnant with her fourth child—writing on Instagram. "My baby is growing up so fast. So proud of her."
