Need an incentive to vote in this year's election? Allow Miley Cyrus to present her case.
The pop sensation and Voice coach jetted off to Virginia Saturday morning to hit the campaign trail in support of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. Decked from head to toe in a most patriotic ensemble, Cyrus made a pit stop at George Mason University to mix and mingle with prospective voters.
Leave it to Miley to get the word out in the most Miley way possible! Plus, we're betting her red and white striped skirt, bow-shaped crop top and hot pink feathered headband couldn't hurt either.
From the looks of social media sightings, college students flocked to catch a glimpse (and snap a selfie!) of the "We Can't Stop" singer. Not that we blame them or anything...
Cyrus went door to door across the university's dorms, surprising students with a chance to get candid about who they're voting for.
A day before, the 23-year-old took to Instagram announcing her plans to campaign for the presidential candidate. Sporting a Clinton t-shirt and posing in front of a private jet, Cyrus wrote, "OMW 2 VA 4 HC!!!! @hillaryclinton #imwithher"
Miley isn't the only music phenom getting political this weekend. Katy Perry is set to rally for the election later this afternoon at the University of Nevada Las Vegas in support of Clinton.
The "Rise" songstress confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, "I'm bringing the glitter...and the knowledge!" Earlier this summer, Perry was joined by boyfriend Orlando Bloomat the Democratic National Convention where she performed onstage.
"Both my parents are pastors and staunch Republicans," she told attendees. "I didn't finish high school. Unfortunately, I don't have a formal education. But I do have an open mind and I have a voice. I'm asking you to have an open mind and to use your voice…Here's how I'm going to use my voice: I'm going vote for Hillary Clinton."
