Downton Abbey is coming to an end…without some familiar faces?! The Masterpiece series released the first cast image for the sixth and final season and people are missing from the Crawley clan picture, namely Allen Leech and Lily James. Yes, Branson and Rose are not pictured with their family. Viewers will recall both characters had plans to move to the United States in the 2014 Christmas special.

Masterpiece reps declined to comment on whether we'd see Leech and James this year.

Can Downton Abbey say goodbye without the two of them? We shall see. Speaking of Downton Abbey saying goodbye, the show's cast and crew have been all over social media sharing photos with the term #LastDaysofDownton. Check them out at your own risk. You may need tissues handy.

Just because the series is coming to an end doesn't mean we've seen the last of the Crawley family. While nothing is for sure set in stone yet, there have been rumblings of a Downton Abbey movie.

"Our position on that is we would be very interested in that. It is definitely something we're contemplating. It would be great fun to do. I think it would be a wonderful extension of everything that people loved about the TV show, but I can't confirm that it's definitely going to happen," executive producer Gareth Neame said. "We shall see."

"There are no plans to make a spinoff," he said. "There's been endless speculation about this, but there are no definite plans for a spinoff. Again, I couldn't rule it out."

Downton Abbey's final season premieres Sunday, Jan. 3 on PBS.
