It's finally time to meet the parents on The Mindy Project. E! News has learned exclusively that House of Cards star Sakina Jaffrey and Royal Pains' Ajay Mehta have been cast as Mindy Kaling's TV parents.

In the season three finale, Danny (Chris Messina) embarked on a journey to meet Mindy's (Kaling) parents once and for all, with the last scene showing him at the door. Then Fox canceled the show (dark days), but Hulu rescued it (here comes the sun!). And now here we are, with Mindy's parents finally coming to The Mindy Project.

Jaffrey's other TV credits include Sleepy Hollow, Third Watch, Madam Secretary and Girls. On the big screen she had roles in Definitely, Maybe, The Indian in the Cupboard and Raising Helen. Mehta is a sitcom veteran with roles on Modern Family, Anger Management, New Girl and more. On the drama side he's appeared in shows such as 24, Rectify, and Law and Order: SVU.

The Mindy Project just kicked off production on its 26-episode fourth season for Hulu. Other guest stars include Brooke Burke as herself, Mark Duplass and Jay Duplass as the Deslaurier brothers, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Freida Pinto as new love interests for Mindy and Danny—don't worry, it's for a Sliding Doors-esque alternate reality episode—and Deadline reports Raising Hope's Garret Dillahunt will be Mindy's replacement when she goes on maternity leave.

Kaling took to Twitter to celebrate the start of production with the above photo. Yes, we have the feels too! Hurry up and come back to us!
