It's time to get back to the music!

After experiencing a week filled with front-page headlines, Blake Shelton was finally able to put on a show for his loyal fans at the Country Jam USA music festival on Friday night.

Marking his first show since breaking up with Miranda Lambert, The Voice coach played for 45 minutes before thunder and lightning forced the concert to shut down early. "Sorry we got cut short Eau Claire," he wrote on Twitter. "Next time, we'll make up for it!"

In an added twist, Taste of Country reported that Shelton may have accidently joked about his rough week when he asked the camera crew to pan to the crowd so fans could be shown on the large screen.

When there was a delay, the "God Gave Me You" crooner began to joke, "Come on, who's in charge here? This isn't my week."

Another attendee, however, told People that Shelton "seemed fine and just wanted to perform for his fans." And despite a shorter than expected set, he still had a "great time."

Ever since news broke that Shelton and Lambert were planning to divorce, the couple has been closely followed. While Lambert has already returned to the stage, Shelton first traveled to Los Angeles in order to film scenes for The Voice.

And despite busy schedules, the twosome managed to band together later in the week to support their mutual friend and country singer Ashley Monroe.

"Hey @mirandalambert can u believe there's people who haven't bought @ashleymonroe new album?" Shelton wrote on Twitter. "Isn't that shocking?!!"

Lambert added, "@blakeshelton no I can't because it is the best work she has ever done! I love it! We love you @ashleymonroe."

And for those skeptics who think they were pre-set tweets, you better think again. "Nope," Shelton wrote. "Not at all buddy."
