Michelle Rodriguez has broken her silence following the tragic death of her Fast and the Furious costar Paul Walker.
The 35-year-old actress took to Twitter to share her sentiments in the wake of the 40-year-old star's tragic passing after he died suddenly on Saturday, Nov. 30 in a car crash in Santa Clarita, Calif. while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide.
"I'm gonna carry this torch for you brother, with a forced smile on my face," Rodriguez wrote on Monday, Dec. 2. "And Im gonna open my heart just cause your telling me to."
Rodriguez and Walker costarred together in the original Fast and the Furious, as well as Fast & Furious 6 and Fast & Furious 7, which was in production when Walker unexpectedly passed.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, production has since been "delayed" but the film "won't be scrapped." Director James Wan and executives from Universal pictures also reportedly spoke on Sunday morning to discuss the future of the project, how to re-work the script and "how to proceed in a manner that would be respectful to Walker's death."
Rodriguez isn't Walker's first Fast & Furious costar to take to social media to pay tribute following the father of one's fatal crash.
Ludacris posted a photo to his Instagram account of the ensemble cast holding hands around a table, along with the message "Thankful for the Fast Family."
"Your humble spirit was felt from the start, wherever you blessed your presence you always left a mark, we were like brothers & our birthdays are only 1 day apart, now You will forever hold a place in all of our hearts @paulwalker legacy will live on forever. R.I.P," the rapper and actor captioned the photo.

Dwayne Johnson also took to Twitter, writing "All my strength, love & faith to the Walker family during this heartbreaking time. We find our strength.. in his light. Love you brother."
As did costar Jordana Brewster, who wrote, "Paul was pure light. I cannot believe he is gone."
Gal Gadot, who starred alongside Walker in Fast and Furious 6, captioned a photo of the smiling pair on her Twitter page which read, "Lost a dear friend today. So sudden and tragic -@ was a great man with a big heart and passion. RIP."
And Tyrese visited the scene of the accident on Sunday, where he broke down in tears and even took a piece of the wreckage in remembrance of his late friend.
"I will keep your energy with me forever #AshesOfAnAngel fast family around the world we live you and we love you Paul is the heartbeat of this franchise and were gonna see to it that his energy and presence lives on forever #myhearthurtssobad," he captioned the image on his Instagram page of the piece he took from the crash site.
