Alec Baldwin is no stranger to rage-filled feuds. Here, we take a look at some of his more explosive battles...
Baldwin quit Twitter after posting a tirade of homophobic tweets aimed at Daily Mail reporter George Stark for erroneously reporting that his 7-months-pregnant wife Hilaria Thomas was tweeting during James Gandolfini's funeral.
The 30 Rock star trash-tweeted American Airlines because a flight attendant had him removed from a flight for playing Words With Friends after passengers were asked to power down all electronic devices in preparation for take-off. "Last flight w American," he tweeted. "Where retired Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950's find jobs as flight attendants."
New York Times theater critic Ben Brantley was the target of Baldwin's fury after writing a bad review of Orphans, a Broadway play the actor was starring in. "No one I know of in the theatre reads Brantley except in the way that a doctor reads an x-ray to determine if you have cancer," Baldwin blogged on The Huffington Post.
Speaking of Orphans, the play hadn't even begun previews when Baldwin's costar Shia LaBeouf was fired from the show after the two apparently butted heads during rehearsals. "Me and Alec had tension as men. Not as artists, but as men," LaBeouf explained to David Letterman during an appearance on The Late Show. "In a room, that became a hard thing to deal with."
No surprise that the left-leaning Baldwin would disagree with ultra-conservative newspaper columnist Michelle Malkin. The actor called Malkin "A world class, crypto fascist hater!" for supporting the execution of convicted cop-killer Troy Davis, who many (including Jimmy Carter and Pope Benedict XVI!) believed was innocent of the horrendous crime.
Mr. B's run-ins with paparazzi are legendary. The most recent was in February when a shutterbug for the New York Post claimed Baldwin hurled racial slurs at him after a reporter for the paper asked him about a lawsuit against his wife Hilaria. Baldwin vehemently denied the accusation.
Baldwin's most infamous outburst was directed at his and Kim Basinger's daughter Ireland. She was just 11 years old back in 2007 when Daddy Baldwin raged at her in a voicemail. "You are a rude, thoughtless little pig," he spewed. "You don't have the brains or the decency as a human being."
