Finally, Jennifer Lopez's kids understand what Mom really does all day!
The Shades of Blue star has two new important little fans to impress with her latest movie, Ice Age: Collision Course, in which she once again voices Shira, a no-nonsense saber tooth tiger.
"The kids love it," Lopez told E! News at the press junket for her family-friendly film. "You know, it's something we can watch together that I'm in."
Lopez said that her kids, 8-year old twins Emme and Max, understand that it's her voice in the film and have connected the dots on their own.
"They're like, 'Oh! That's what you do when you go away from us and go work,'" she said with a laugh.
The twins were only 4 when Lopez first voiced Shira in Ice Age: Continental Drift, which premiered in 2012. So they were just a bit on the young side then, and now the series is perfect for their age.
Will the kids, whose dad is singer Marc Anthony, have a future in entertainment, like their multitalented parents?
"I don't know, I think they just want to be kids," Lopez said. "I don't think they're ready to work yet."
You know what they say, mother knows best.
Ice Age: Collision Course is set to arrive in theaters July 22, and it looks like the singer, actress and super-mom has her kids' seal of approval on this one.
