He started showcasing some of his iconic moves and signaled to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians that he wanted her to dance with him. She did not comply and he then told her to "get off the stage." She later tweeted, "I was so nervous I froze when Prince touched me!!!!"
Fans had captured the awkward moment on camera and the video went viral. It resurfaced this week, after Prince's shocking death at age 57. On Saturday, Kim took to Instagram to address the incident again.
"I will always remember this moment with one of my favorite artists!" she wrote. "I was so star struck I froze! RIP Prince."
Kim had also tweeted just after the incident that she had gone up onstage at the concert again.
"This time I redeemed myself! We all danced while Prince played the piano!" she said. "Wow! What a night!"
After the concert, Kim and her crew attended an after party at the Darby nightclub, where Prince performed again, with hip-hop artist Talib Kweli. Other celebrity attendees included Chloë Sevigny, Cameron Diaz and New York Yankees star and then-boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, according to The New York Daily News.
Prince was found dead at his Paisley Park studios in Minnesota Thursday. Police are still investigating his death.
The iconic pop singer, songwriter and musician, known for hits such as "Purple Rain," "Little Red Corvette" and "Kiss," was mourned online by scores of fans, including celebs. Among them: Kim's sister Kendall Jenner, 20, who wrote on Instagram, "We've lost a legend. RIP."
