The expectant 33-year-old mom hit the red carpet in New York on Tuesday for her latest sighting since announcing she and husband Brandon Blackstock are expecting a baby boy—their second child after 1-year-old daughter River Rose Blackstock. The Grammy-winning singer was all smiles at the Citizen Watch Company's New York Corporate Offices Grand Opening as she propped a hand on her growing belly while sporting a chic gray blazer and black and white striped blouse.
The "Heartbeat Song" singer looked radiant with soft waves in her blond locks and a bubblegum pink lip. If you've heard the age-old wives' tale about having more of a glow while pregnant with a boy, here's the proof.
Clarkson, who announced she was pregnant with her second child during one of her concerts in August, recently unveiled the baby's sex in an impromptu post on her Instagram account.
"River's gonna have a little baby brother :) #itsaboy We're so excited!" Clarkson captioned the photo of her daughter smiling while perched atop a plastic slide.
While she's no stranger to the nine months of pregnancy side effects, Clarkson still suffers from one all the same. The American Idol champion opened up to her fans on Twitter about her major cravings and reading the list alone is enough to make mouths water.
"I want a giant plate of pickles, green olives, cheese, and crackers.....like right now. #preggerprobs," she wrote on her account.
Fortunately, this time around, Clarkson appears to be progressing much easier in comparison to her first pregnancy, which she once described as "horrible."
"Like, I was hospitalized," she told BBC's Radio 1 Breakfast Show. "It was just kind of a bad pregnancy, so I had to take off way more time than normal."
Still, after canceling the remainder of her Piece By Piece international tour dates for 2015, Clarkson will have plenty of time to prop her feet up and relax before the big day finally arrives.
