He's attacked FOX correspondent Megyn Kelly, Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina, and now Donald Trump has his eyes set on President Barack Obama—again.

During an interview for CBS' 60 Minutesthe president could not leave without broaching the topic of his possible successor—the real estate mogul and former The Apprentice host who continues to shake up the political atmosphere of Washington as an outsider.

"I think that he is tapped into something that exists in the Republican Party that's real. I think there is genuine anti-immigrant sentiment in the large portion of at least Republican primary voters," President Obama said, in reference to Trump's strong opposition to illegal immigration since his initial presidential announcement.

Since they are inherent political opponents—Donald Trump has even speculated the president's birthday place and citizenship for years—it comes as no surprise that President Obama insists Trump will not be moving to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

"I don't think he'll end up being president of the United States," the president said.

Trump immediately went on the offensive, pulling up his Twitter for some choice words following his own appearance on the newsmagazine.

"President Obama was terrible on @60Minutes tonight. He said CLIMATE CHANGE is the most important thing, not all of the current disasters!"

Never one for subtlety, the mogul followed his forward comment with a second tweet, fluffing his ego in the process.

"Great, everyone is saying I did much better on @60Minutes last week than President Obama did tonight. I agree!" Trump gloated.

While he may be boisterous, his confidence is not unfounded. In the latest poll by CBS, Trump holds first place in the Republican party with 27 percent of the nation supporting his campaign. His main opponent within the party, Ben Carson, is not far behind with 21 percent.

While Obama may think Trump is a "great publicity seeker," his political tactics look like they're working.
