Where better to debut a movie clip than the MTV Movie Awards?
Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort introduced an exclusive sneak peek from their film, The Fault in Our Stars, during Sunday's pre-show at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE. Based on the acclaimed novel by John Green, it tells the story of two teens who fall in love after meeting at a cancer support group.
The witty tearjerker also stars Willem Dafoe, Laura Dern, Sam Trammell and Nat Wolff.
Woodley, who plays Hazel Grace Lancaster, and Elgort, who plays Augustus Waters, co-starred as the Prior siblings in Divergent. They'll reprise their roles in the sequel, Insurgent, shooting later this spring.
The Fault in Our Stars isn't the only movie that is giving fans a first look at the MTV Movie Awards: Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx will introduce a never-before-seen clip from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 via tape, and Ellen Page will debut a scene from X-Men: Days of Future Past on stage.
