Miley Cyrus was feeling under the weather earlier this week, but it seems that her health—both physical and mental—has improved. E! News has learned exclusively that the pop princess partied with pals at her favorite West Hollywood hot spot, Beacher's Madhouse, on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

Flanked by BFF Cheyne Thomas and her makeup artist, Cyrus held court at the main VIP table and was surrounded by friends, including creator of the Madhouse, Jeff Beacher. The 20-year-old "Wrecking Ball" singer was dancing and having a good time but maintained a low profile.

"Most people in the club did not seem to know she was there," a source says.

Cyrus—whose latest album, Bangerz, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard and iTunes charts—appears to be in better spirits following her recent breakup with Liam Hemsworth, her fiancé of 16 months.

"She's doing really well," a pal tells E! News. "The Liam thing shook her up a bit, but she's over it now. She has thrown herself into work and she knows that it's for the best."

With a tour in the works and a performance at the American Music Awards on the horizon, the "We Can't Stop" singer has a lot on her plate. "She's actually excited and hopeful about the future," her pal insists. "She's proved that she doesn't need Liam to be happy or successful. The past few months have been incredibly empowering for her."

Reps for Cyrus and Hemsworth announced the end of the stars' engagement in mid-September. The pair began dating after meeting on the 2009 set of The Last Song and briefly called it quits in 2010. They reconciled soon after, and Hemsworth, now 23, popped the question in May 2012.
