Lindsay Lohan is taking things one step at a time. Literally.

The post-rehab actress indulged in some retail therapy Tuesday in New York City, where she was snapped checking out shoes at a store in Soho.

Dressed in skintight pants, a vest and black booties, the 27-year-old carried a cowboy hat while eyeballing a sleek, knee-high black boot, her red hair worn loose over her shoulders.

(Indeed, the starlet could have just as easily walked out wearing the new boots and her outfit still would have matched impeccably.)

Life has slowly been returning back to normal for the once-troubled actress, who recently completed 90 days of court-mandated treatment at a rehab facility in Malibu.

Since then, she's jumped straight into work: Lohan served as guest host for an episode of Chelsea Lately, and she shot a guest-starring role on HBO's Eastbound & Down.

LiLo also had a heart-to-heart sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, in which she admitted being an addict and revealed that her stints behind bars may have been a subconscious attempt to "find some peace."

"A lot of stuff went on with my family when I was young and I grew up in a very chaotic home and then there were moments of everything being wonderful and perfect and then things being so uncontrollable and chaotic that—it's something people go through and unfortunately I waited too long to face it," Lohan said.

Now that she's back on her feet, the star is ready to take the reins of her career: She recently launched her official website, where she thanked fans for their support while remaining optimistic about the future.

"Welcome to my new site," read Lohan's welcome note. "Your support has been everything. I'm so excited for what's next."
