Surely, you've heard of SoulCycle. The latest cardio craze has a cult-like following, which includes celeb pedal pushers like Katie HolmesLady GagaNicole Kidman and even Anderson Cooper.

But what exactly is this fitness phenomenon that's taken the celebrity workout world by storm?

SoulCycle spokesperson Gabrielle Etrog Cohen describes each class as a "full-body workout on the bike". While a regular spin class focuses primarily on the lower body, SoulCycle combines an intense cardio workout with core training and hand weights to incorporate every part of the body into the routine.

The instructors also give each participant individual attention and make sure each class is not just a full-body experience, but a whole body experience. Kinda of like a yoga class, where instructors provide inspirational coaching and are constantly giving riders positive motivational pushes to help get them through the rigorous sessions.

Celeb SoulCycle fan Kelly Ripa describes it as "more than an exercise class, it really is an inspirational class that is as good for your brain as it is for your body."

And you won't be taking these classes in some dingy old spinning studio. SoulCycle is taught in what they call custom-designed, candle-lit "cardio sanctuaries."

Right now, the classes are only available in New York and Los Angeles. So, if you're lucky enough to live in one of these coastal celebrity hotbeds, check out their website for the closest studio.

Who knows, you might just end up pedaling away to "Born This Way" with Mother Monster herself on the bike right next to you!

Sound off: Have you tried SoulCycle? Would you?
