The category is TV show shakeups and here's the clue: This Big Bang Theory alum's time hosting Jeopardy! has come to an end.

You'd be correct to say, "Who is Mayim Bialik?"

The actress and the production of Jeopardy! have announced that she is leaving the game show, more than two years after she helped take over hosting duties following Alex Trebek's 2020 death. Former winner Ken Jennings remains the sole host of Jeopardy!.

"Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!" the Blossom alum wrote on her Instagram Dec. 15. "I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Jeopardy! family."

Bialik, who, along Jennings is nominated for a 2023 Emmy for Host For A Game Show, added, "For all of you who have supported me through this incredible journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff and crew of America's Favorite Quiz Show, thank you."

A statement about Bialik's exit was also posted on the official Jeopardy! Instagram page. "Mayim Bialik has announced she will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!" the message read. "We made the decision to have one host for the syndicated show next season to maintain continuity for our viewers, and Ken Jennings will be the sole host for syndicated Jeopardy!."

The statement continued, "We are truly grateful for all of Mayim's contributions to Jeopardy!, and we hope to continue to work with her on primetime specials."

Bialik joined Jeopardy! in May 2021 as one of several celebrity guest hosts following Trebek's death at 80 from pancreatic cancer the previous November. In August 2021, the actress was announced as the permanent host of the primetime series and new spinoffs, while executive producer Mike Richards was made host of the daily syndicated program.

He resigned after a week, and Bialik took over his duties for almost two months, after which Jennings was made a second rotating host of Jeopardy!. In July 2022, the two were made permanent alternating hosts of the show.

Bialik has not appeared on Jeopardy! since June. Deadline had reported the previous month that she had stepped away from the show temporarily to show solidarity with the Writers Guild of America's strike. It ended in September.
