Watch: Gary Busey Is "Beyond Victorious" on "DWTS"

Don't ever let it be said that Gary Busey isn't a man with unbridled confidence.

The Hollywood legend hit the Dancing With the Stars dance floor with partner Anna Trebunskaya and brought home a pretty low score during the season 21 premiere, earning only 15 out of 30 dancing the cha cha to Mick Jagger and David Bowie's "Dancing in the Street." But backstage, Busey was unfazed by the disappointing results. In fact, he didn't seem to be fazed by, well, anything.

"Excellent. Beyond excellent," Busey told E! News when asked how he felt he did. "Beyond victorious. It was fantastic. Top of the line. Victory. Hey!" (The man is not short on adjectives.)

But whether Busey knows exactly what victory earns in the competition, well, that's another question. When asked if he wants the mirror ball trophy, he replied with a resounding, "What?"

It took his partner Anna chiming in to remind him, "Do you want the trophy? The ball, the shining ball?" for Gary to catch on. And his reply? "Guess what? We've already won the trophy just by showing up and dancing."

Oh, Gary. Never change. To hear more from Gary on his Dancing debut, press play on our interview with him above!

Dancing With the Stars' two-night premiere continues tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC.
