Who would have guessed that Emile Hirsch was a big Miley Cyrus fan?!
The 28-year-old actor says he's a huge fan of her hit summer song "We Can't Stop." "Yeah!" he told us last night at the Prisoners premiere in Beverly Hills. "It's a good song. It's a good song."
Hirsch couldn't pick just one reason why he loves the Miley jam. "It's hard to define what makes a song catchy or [what makes] people listen to it a bunch of times," he continued.
But can the Savages star twerk like Cyrus? "I can't twerk," he said. "I don't think I'd be very good at twerking. I'll stick to watching. That's what more fun to me."
Hirsch follows the Cyrus support of Lady Gaga. Earlier this week, Gaga defended Miley's controversial twerking VMA performance.
"I mean, I just think everybody need to lighten up and leave her alone," the "Applause" singer told Andy Cohen. "Because it's pop music. Everybody's entitled to their own artistic expression, and if you have a problem with it, just change the channel."
"I don't understand the incessant need to constantly go on and on about hating things all the time because, what, she's 20 years old?" she continued. "And if anything, I give her props," the native New Yorker said. "You know, she's growing up in front of the entire world and maybe she's not so happy with stuff she did in her career when she was younger and she wants to be free, so let her do what she wants."
