Getty Going Bye-Bye From Brothers & Sisters?

Is Balthazar Getty parting ways with Brothers & Sisters?

Chatter on the set has it that discussions may have begun between Getty and producers on how best to ease him out of the show.

Getty has played Tommy, the oldest brother in the Walker clan, since the series launched in September 2006.

So why the possibility of him leaving now?

As I first reported last week, sources say Getty has few friends left among the cast and crew of the hit ABC drama because of questionable behavior that allegedly began shortly after he left his wife and mother of his four children, Rosetta, in July and started dating British starlet Sienna Miller.

“He’s leaving the show,” a source told me, adding that they've already ruled out killing him off.

On Thursday, website Crazy Days and Nights reported Getty has been fired. (This happens to be the same site that was first to report T.R. Knight was leaving Grey’s Anatomy. ABC issued a "no comment" on that report.)

Getty’s rep insisted this morning he is not leaving the show. A rep for the show did not immediately comment.

New episodes of the award-winning series begin airing Jan. 4.
