Melrose Star Expected Heather to Be Like Amanda

Heather Locklear is nothing like the conniving evil be-yotch she played plays on Melrose Place.

So says Michael Rady, who costars on the revived prime-time soap as aspiring filmmaker Jonah Miller.

"It's totally surreal," Rady told me at last night's Environmental Media Awards in Hollywood about his scenes with Locklear. "I was expecting her to kind of be like Amanda Woodward, but she's just sweet and unassuming and very professional."

And what about her signature power suits?

"She has her share of power suits for sure," Rady laughed, adding, "I had some great scenes with her. She's fun—a lot of fun."

Not as fun was getting the news that Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Colin Egglesfield were being evicted from the show.

"I'm bummed because I just wanted to keep working with them," Rady said. "But I know they're going to be snatched up soon, and they've got great things ahead."
