Runway to Red Carpet: Is Fergie Spot On?

Who would have thought Fergie of all people could make a multi-color animal print dress look fierce?
No offense to the singer, but she doesn't always set the fashion bar very high. We would have expected her to go overboard with the matching spotted jacket, as shown on Blumarine's runway?and maybe some bizarre footwear.
Instead, she took fashion cues from Nicky Hilton and Rachel Weisz' more understated style and downplayed the '80s print with a black blazer and trendy zipper Balmain booties.

Heidi Klum: Modeling vs. Mommyhood

Hot mama Heidi Klum left her kids—and her heart—back in California to come host the Victoria's Secret fashion show in NYC today.
Klum's been a leggy fixture on the lingerie catwalk for years, but understandably this time around, it was hard for the mom of four to leave her little ones—including newborn Lou—back in L.A.
"It is, but tomorrow at noon, I'll be back home," Heidi said of her quickie trip to the Big Apple. "I take the first flight at 7:30!"
But as long as she's emceeing the sexy CBS special, there is one thing Heidi's really looking forward to...

Fashion Police: Leighton Meester Loses It

We're concerned about Leighton Meester. We've always loved her as Gossip Girl's resident queen bee, Blair Waldorf, which makes it difficult for us to accept her as a pop star. But we know how it works with these actresses: If it's not a record deal, it'll be a clothing line or jewelry designing or perfume. So if Leighton wants to sing, fine. (Plus "Somebody to Love" is cheeky fun.)
What concerns us, though, is Leighton's attempt at a sexy image makeover to go along with the pop career. There was the "Somebody to Love" music video where she looked like she was trying way too hard to bring the sexy. And this photo (left) from December's GQ is more uncomfortable than titillating.
She showed more poor decision-making skills at last night's American Eagle flagship store opening in New York City. The evidence:

Lindsay Lohan Jewelry Line "Not Happening"

Maybe this is why Lindsay Lohan seemed so happy.
On the heels of her less-than-stellar stint in the fashion world last month, it seems Linds believed she'd been given a copy of the Ashlee Simpson-Wentz second chances handbook—revealing she'd be developing a collection with famed jeweler Pascal Mouawad, who has collaborated in the past with the likes of Nicole Richie and Heidi Klum.
If only she'd checked with Mouawad first.
"We had spoken about doing a jewelry line, but it's not happening," he tells E! News. "It was a few months back, it was going to be for Bebe, but it never happened."
Instead, his next big baublelicious event takes place at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, taping later this week to air on CBS in December.
"Twenty million dollars' worth of jewelry will be on the models in the show," says Mouawad. "There are 10 huge diamond sets."
And that leaves no ice for Lindsay...Though we can't help but feel that the aspiring fashionista could use a minute away from the drawing board to get her priorities in order.
