Stephen Colbert Takes Back Christmas!

Nation, Stephen Colbert has already picked out your Christmas gift.

Don't worry, we're sure he'll give you an opportunity to reciprocate his generosity.

While lesser hosts are merely anticpating the end of summer, the Colbert Report honcho already has his Christmas special in the can, and it could be the season's most-beloved fake-news holiday show. And for those who can't wait for television to deliver the goods, there are special screenings available

In the great tradition of holiday TV specials, the Comedy Central stalwart has surrounded himself with an array of demographically diverse performers: Elvis Costello, Feist, Toby Keith, John Legend and Willie Nelson.

Even better, Colbert has tapped Adam Schlesinger of the band Fountains of Wayne (along with David Javerbaum, executive producer of The Daily Show) to pen a fresh batch of holiday themed songs, including "Have I Got a Present for You," Little Dealer Boy" and "There Are Worse Things to Believe In."

(Jewish fans, don't despair: There's also a duet with Jon Stewart on a ditty entitled, "Hanukkah.")

A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All is set to premiere Sun., Nov. 23 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, and a DVD?which includes a special "book burning Yule log" and will donate some of the proceeds to Feeding America?will be available the following Tuesday.

That's right. Just in time for Christmas.
