Did we mention Larry Birkhead is a really good dad?

In an exclusive interview with E! News, Anna Nicole Smith's ex-partner opens up about what the future holds for him and daughter Dannielynn now that the Supreme Court ruled last week that the estate of the late Playboy Playmate—of which Dannielynn is the sole heir—isn't entitled to a single penny from her late oil baron husband's estate.

If you thought it was hard losing $89 million that had previously been awarded to Smith, the decision didn't phase the ever-classy Birkhead.

"You know, I was disappointed for Anna, because this was something she fought long and hard for nearly 15 years of her life and it was disappointing for her just because it took so much out of her," the photographer tells E! News. "It was just something that really affected her and stressed her out on a daily level...so now there's some closure to it."

As for how the Supreme Court's decision will impact his and Dannielynn's lives, Birkhead says it won't—at least not by much.

"It's gonna make it probably a lot easier. It's not something that I've thought about everyday.  It's not on my spreadsheet.  It's something that people tell me about," he remarked.

As for their now 4-year-old daughter, he said Dannielynn is "doing great" and just graduated from preschool the same day the verdict came down.

"She has her family. She has me, her dad, she's loved, she has everything she needs. That's more important than any amount of money she could have received on behalf of her mother," Birkhead was quick to note.

As for how Smith might've taken the bad news, he couldn't say.

"I've seen Anna be told no before and I've seen her hold her head up high, and I've seen her disappointed, so it's hard to say," said Birkhead. "I think she might even feel relief that it's over. Look, she would just want to know Dannielynn's doing great and she is, she's healthy and happy and doing great, and it's not just about a big sack of money down."
