Right on the heels of Kim Kardashian's engagement to Kris Humphries, the Twilight actress showed off her ring—given to her by American Idol finalist, Paul McDonald—Sunday night at the MTV Movie Awards. Wow, that was fast!
The couple looked totally adorable and in love—this time, at least—but, come on, surprised much? We sure were!
Their courtship lasted a whopping two months before someone popped the question, spurring a possible new trend in Hollywood: Getting married quicker than it takes to shoot a Twilight movie.
Nikki and Paul just met in early March at the premiere of Little Red Riding Hood, and were dating by early April.
After their showdown at the MTV Movie awards, we can't argue that they are no doubt in love and totally smitten with each other, evidenced by Nikki shouting, "He's the one! He's the one!" to E!'s very own Marc Malkin Sunday night.
As for Kim and Kris, they are also just too cute to look at, and we love that Kris treats the Kardashian sister like the adorable princess her mama raised. Plus, compared to Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom's one-month courtship, Kim and Kris seemed to date for decades before deciding to settle down!
We definitely dig these young couples, and can see them working for the long haul. But speedy courtships like Reese and Ryan's, Brit and K-Fed's and Angie and Billy Bob's did end in "irreconcilable differences," so let's hope these romances have the gas to last.
Couldn't they wait a little longer, just to be sure?
