Has Lindsay Lohan finally learnt her lesson?

The troubled actress spent her first night of freedom—since jail and rehab—at home in her West Hollywood condo, where she received a visit from former girlfriend Sam Ronson.

And when Sam left to go deejay at a nearby club, L.L. actually opted not to attend...

Not that she couldn't have justified her presence. The fete at Trousdale was a fundraiser for her late friend DJ AM and proceeds went to The Phoenix House, an addiction and rehab center.

Maybe the nightclub's LiLo ban had something to do with her decision to skip the charity bash—she was blacklisted earlier this year for tossing a drink at Sam. (Celebs who did make the scene last night included Leonardo DiCaprio and Rashida Jones.)

Another event Lindsay is likely to miss is tonight's Machete screening. Technically, she could go, since it's right here in downtown L.A., but a studio rep says she's not expected to attend.

On Wedneday morning her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley confirmed she'll sit this one out, saying "She's moving forward in a positive way and not necessarily going to something splashy. She has changed, she's healthy, she's clear-headed, she's positive and she's looking forward."

Just not to parties and premieres, apparently.

Do you think Lindsay has finally turned over a new leaf? Fingers crossed.
