Casey Johnson Family's "Mourning Their Tragic Loss"

Her family requests privacy in the wake of Johnson & Johnson heiress's untimely death

Casey Johnson's friends have weighed in. Now it's time for her family.

Father Woody Johnson, the owner of the New York Jets, has just issued the following statement about the the sudden death of his eldest daughter via a team spokesman:

"The Johnson family is mourning their tragic loss, and asks for privacy during this very difficult time."

Meanwhile, the team released a statement on its website saying, "the entire New York Jets organization is saddened at the news."

The 30-year-old Johnson & Johnson heiress, a lifelong pal of Paris and Nicky Hilton and newly betrothed to reality TV star Tila Tequila, was found dead Monday in her Los Angeles home. An autopsy is being conducted today, but the results won't be available for several weeks. Authorities believe that Johnson, a diabetic, died of natural causes.

No word yet on funeral arrangements.
