Justin Timberlake Puts the Brakes on "Obsessed, Mentally Unstable" Woman

Justin Timberlake has just one thing to say to the alleged stalker who wanted to get close to him:

Cry me a river.

A judge granted Timberlake a permanent (aka three-year) restraining order against Karen McNeil, who was arrested on the singer's property Oct. 22, having brought a cab full of her belongings along with her.

After a short wait-and-see period for Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Cunningham to decide whether or not Timberlake should have to testify in person, the court decided a signed declaration would be enough.

"He had been originally ordered in, but his lawyer argued that that was exactly what the defendant wanted, to get close to him," court spokeswoman Vania Steulp told E! News.

Of course, Timberlake was also unavailable because he was off filming somewhere, according to his attorney, Martin Singer. The 28-year-old Heart of Hollywood was presumably working on his next film, Social Network.

Timberlake cooperated and submitted an affidavit calling McNeil an "obsessed and mentally unstable stalker" whom the entertainer "does not personally know or have any relationship with."

That was good enough for Cunningham, who granted a permanent restraining order for three years, Steulp said.

McNeil was in court, however, and a court insider tells E! News she could be heard screaming in the hallway after today's hearing.
